Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife Movie Review

By now, you might have become bored with the star cast list. So, let’s take you to the interesting plotline of the movie.

If you sit to watch The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife with a mindset of watching James Bond or Mission Impossible, then you might be fooled. While those films worship this international spy system and action film genre, these two films are more of a sarcastic criticism. And, of course, that aim is achieved due to the illustrious presence of the Holy Trinity- Reynolds, Jackson, and Hayes.

The acting skills of these maestros are beyond doubt. This comic film seems less like a script-to-screen production, more like a spontaneous improvisation. And the trick to reaching the audiences’ hearts with a joke or a comedy is to make them feel that it was not scripted!

The plotline

If you have watched The Hitman’s Bodyguard, you already know the context of the meeting between Bryce and Kincaid. Michael Bryce is a top-notch protection agent, whereas Darius Kincaid is an equally high-profile international killer. For those who haven’t seen, escorting Kincaid was a punishment posting for Bryce, which took off as the hilarious duo after Laurel and Hardy.

So, in this film, Reynolds should rescue Jackson. However, after he does that, the Interpol agent doesn’t leave their back. He, in turn, intercepts and hijacks them to help find him an out-of-the-world weapon that a terrorist tycoon was using. According to him, Aristotle Papadopoulos was planning to crush the European economy with the help of that weapon. It was owing to the European Union’s decision of heavy imposition of sanctions on Greece.

Thus, the cat and mouse chase starts, and Sonia even gets captured by Aristotle in the middle. Hence, what follows is Sonia’s rescue mission and the attempt to take down Aristotle.

In the end, there is a twist. Bryce ends up being Sonia and Kincaid’s adopted son. To know how you will have to watch the entire movie.

Final Thoughts

The movie couldn’t have attained its success if Phillip Murphy, Brandon Murphy, and Tom O Connor weren’t its scriptwriters. Terry Stacey being its cinematographer, has taken the film to a new high. So, if you are yet to watch The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife, now is the time to sign in to Amazon Prime Videos and watch the film!
